FAQ’s

Class specific shoes are best if you have them e.g. tap shoes, but to start you just need to wear comfortable shoes such as joggers/sandshoes.  A hard sole shoe can be worn for tap, and a softer style like jiffys for ballet and lyrical when you first start.  Here’s to Life has a limited range of second-hand shoes for sale.

Wear clothes that are both comfortable and let you move freely.  Something with a bit of stretch in the fabric is always best for movement classe e.g. tshirts, shorts, tights etc.

No. No previous singing experience is needed and no audition is required. The class is open to all skill levels and includes vocal warm-ups, breathing, harmonies, pitch and posture.

No. You do not need to bring a djembe to start. The drumming program mainly uses djembe drums, but also includes other percussion instruments such as maracas and tambourines, and guidance is provided in class.

At Here’s to Life we offer a free trial of any class so that you can decide if that class is right for you.  As we are a not-for-profit organisation we then ask for a one-off lifetime membership payment of $25 to cover insurances and associated administration costs.

A water bottle and small hand towel – particularly in the Summer months. Over time you may decide to bring your own Pilates mat, djembe or other equipment.

Yes there is a car-park adjacent to the hall and also street parking.

The Here’s to Life instructors all offer modifications to allow for all level of participation from beginner to advanced.  We encourage participation and offer inclusivity, and allow participants to do what they can at their own pace.
